Evie’s Story

Evie Xinli was given the birthday of June 1, 2002. Evie was found in Beijing, China when she was 2.5 yrs old. Evie was born with a severe heart disease known as Tetralogy of Fallot. She had several holes in her heart as well as leaking heart valves. Evie was very sick when she was found and she was cared for at the Ping An medical foster home in Beijing, China. Evie had surgery to repair her heart while she was in China. Evie’s last ECHO showed that she still has a small amount of leaking from one of her valves, but that otherwise she was given a clean bill of health and she has no physical restrictions.

God gave Evie a personality that is like no other! She can adapt to situations without even blinking. She is such a bright and smart little girl. Evie usually just has to watch you do something once and she can then master it! She will not give up until she has figured out the problem! Evie loves school and she can make friends with anyone. She is outgoing and loves to laugh and play jokes!

Our girls were best friends at the medical foster home and it is truly a miracle that we are able to watch them grow up together as true sisters. They have a special relationship and bond that has sustained them through their difficult childhoods and surgeries and now they love life and growing up together!
